If you would like to volunteer and aren't already signed up, send an email to Marc, Carolyn or Jennie.
Please download this PDF document which describes many of the activities abovem with detailed instructions and background science. We won't use all of these, and may add a couple new ones, but this is a good list to start from. Please think about what Activity Stations you would like to staff. We will try to do as many from the list above as we have volunteers to cover.
We will also have at least 2 drop-in training sessions where you can have a chance to practice, learn, customize or just have a little fun with the activities yourself. There will also be a sign-up sheet for the activity you would like to do:
Drop-in Training Session #1: Tuesday April 6th, 1-5 PM, (some room in Olin Hall basement floor, look for signs)
Drop-in Training Session #2: Thursday April 8th, 1-5 PM, (some room in Olin Hall basement floor, look for signs)
Friday Evening Set-Up: Meet at 5:30 PM in Olin basement.
Where/When to meet on Saturday Morning: Volunteers should check in by 8:15 AM (earlier would be even better!) at the Volunteer Check-in Desk in Barnes Science Center. Participating organizations should try to arrive by 8:30 AM. You can unload at the Loading Dock on the north side of Barnes. We will have signs to direct you to the check-in desk.
We will provide lunch and breakfast snacks for all volunteers (including participating organizations)
If you have a Cool Science T-shirt already, please wear it. If not, we'll give you a CC Cool Science T-shirt
Parking is free on Saturdays in all lots. The closest lots are C-1 and E-1 on the Campus Map.
For participating organizations, we'll provide tables and chairs for your station. Let Marc know if you will need electricity, water, would like to be outside (weather permitting), or anything else special.
